We're excited to announce the annual FinHub x Interledger Hackathon and Bootcamp, a one-week intensive bootcamp and hackathon exploring the world of open payments. This collaborative event is hosted by the Financial Innovation Hub and the Interledger Foundation.

The event, starting 23 June through to 27 June, will see students from UCT and other tertiary institutions attend a boot camp which features one lecture followed by one practical session each day, hosted by expert mentors, focusing on the world of payments, how the payment system has evolved and how the Interledger Foundation is utilising the Interledger Protocol and Open Standards to revolutionise digital payments.

At the end of the boot camp, you'll have the chance to showcase your newly acquired skills in a full-day hackathon on 28 June with a R65 000 prize pool. Teams will compete for the top prizes of R35 000, R20 000, and R10 000. Find out more about the work of the Interledger Foundation, here.
